The pace of Hyundai A leagues newest franchise and eleventh club is growing by the day.

The 2019/2020 season has not even commenced in fact pre-season training has not been kicked off however WESTERN UNITED FC’s journey to their inaugural A League campaign is going from strength to strength with the signing of key players, experience names and also players coming in for the future of this exciting club.

Western United FC was announced by Football federation Australia midway December however the club was founded in may 2017 and will compete In the green and black kits, the colours were influenced by the pitch of roofs in the suburbs and the West Gate Bridge with the signature green colour representing growth, harmony and freshness. On 20 may, Western United FC announced a partnership with Italian sports brand KAPPA which will be the clubs inaugural office apparel partner.

The new franchise club (WUFC) will play their home grounds at GMHBA stadium located at Geelong for approximately 2 seasons GMHBA holds acapacity of 36,000 spectators and is also the home ground of AFL club Geelong Cats, additionally a brand new stadium has been proposed to be built in Tarneit, Victoria which will hold around 15,000 from reports the new stadium is going to be owned by Western United FC and will take up
to 2 years to build.
