Minister Sidoti and Craig Kelly visits Maarif School

A quick tour of stage 1 of the school be­ing established at 2 Percy St Auburn which will accommodate over 700 students once the much ancitipated project is finalized, will provide sta­te of the art and technology for our future representatives our children with a quality premises for them to obtain prodigious education.

The official program commenced with a brief introduction of the initial establishment of the school to its cur­rent status by the Master of ceremno­nies, Izzet Anmak, also the assistant project Manager of International Ma­arif Schools of Australia.

The overw­helming support of the local coun­cil and State agencies were explained during the presentation.

The Princi­pal of International Maarif Schools of Australia, Dr. Zeynep Yasseen pro­vided a comprehensive detail of the outstanding achievements of the tea­ching methods and the amazing col­laboration of the teaching staff and the parents.

The structure of the unique teaching approach the school has towards raising the leaders of the future. In the space of a short period of time, the students have accomplis­hed an outstanding academic result by achieving 3rd place at the Indigi Hack young innovators award.

Following the informative presen­tation by the principal of the school, the development manager, Mr. Bill Yassine, the Managing Director of Landcorp Australia an expert in his field, provided details regarding the current and future direction of the sc­hool to its completion to operate at 2 Percy Street Auburn.

An impressive presentation which clarified the plan­ning matters regarding the school. Currently at the exhibition stage, Mr. Yassine commended Cumberland Council staff and the Department of Plannig for its discernment of the ne­cessity of establishing a school, a so­cial infrastructure in Western Syd­ney.

The school will accommodate the increasing population in Western Sydney and the increasing growth of child birth in the area.

The government officials were im­pressed by the effort and progress of the school and the involvement of the executive committee of Australi­an Turkish Maarif Schools of Austra­lia and International Maarif Schools of Australia teaching staff.

Minister for Multiculturalism and Sport expressed his overwhelming sa­tisfaction in witnessing an outstan­ding work by the executive commit­tee and the teaching staff at Interna­tional Maarif Schools of Australia in collaboration with the council and the NSW Government.

The minis­ter expressed willingness to support and desired to see the school come to a completion as soon as possible.

A school which is focused in accom­modating the most diversified ethnic groups in Australia is imperative for him as a multicultural Minister.

Honourable Craig Kelly also com­mended everyone who was involved during the process of arduous times.

Unfortunately, establishing schools are not an easy process, being pati­ent and striving to achieve a positi­ve outcome for the wider community is imperative. Those involved during this project should be applauded and commended.

The event concluded with the directors of Australian Tur­kish Maarif Foundation, Mr. Hasan Gencturk, Yuksel Cifci, Dr. Abdur­rahman Asaroglu and Ergul Uyba­din along with the various presidents of different organizations in attendan­ce at the event, providing special pre­sents to Minister Sidoti and Hon.
